Melissa Sprouse Browne
Melissa Sprouse Browne is the host of The Senior Care Show, a trusted resource dedicated to helping seniors and their families navigate aging with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
Melissa brings both professional expertise and deeply personal experience to the conversation around senior care. She is the former founder and owner of Seniors First Home Care, which she successfully built and operated until 2016, providing non-medical in-home care services to seniors and their families. She is also the author of The Caregiver’s Training Program: What You Need to Know to Take Care of Your Parents in Their Golden Years, a practical guide written to help families understand the realities, responsibilities, and emotional challenges of caregiving.
Today, Melissa owns Cora Care, a senior care community referral service designed to help families find trustworthy local resources, services, and support during critical decision-making moments. Through this work, she continues to advocate for seniors while helping caregivers avoid confusion, misinformation, and costly mistakes.
Beyond her professional background, Melissa’s understanding of senior care is profoundly personal. She personally cared for her parents during their final years, navigating the medical, emotional, and logistical challenges that so many families face. Most recently, she served as the primary caregiver for her husband during his extended stay in the ICU following a catastrophic accident. Though he did not recover, the experience further strengthened her commitment to ensuring that caregivers are informed, supported, and never left feeling alone.
In addition to her work in senior care, Melissa is a seasoned entrepreneur and educator. She is the Broker-in-Charge of South Carolina Realty and owner of the Real Estate School of South Carolina, a professional trade school serving the state since 1977. Her background in education, compliance, and consumer advocacy allows her to break down complex topics into clear, actionable guidance—especially for seniors and caregivers.
The Senior Care Show was created to provide honest conversations, expert insights, scam-prevention tips, product reviews, and local resources—all with one goal: to help seniors age safely and with dignity, and to give caregivers the confidence to make informed decisions during some of life’s most challenging moments.
